Keith homers, drives in 3 runs as Tigers win fifth straight, 4-2 over Rays

DETROIT (AP) – Colt Keith dominated and rolled in three points while the Detroit Tigers won their fifth consecutive match, beating the rays of Tampa Bay 4-2 on Tuesday evening.

Detroit preceded its opponents 19-6 in the victories sequence, which started with a scan of three Cleveland Guardians games this weekend.

The start of the Tigers, Jack Flaherty, granted two points in 6 1/3 rounds, withdrawing eight. Tommy Kahnle (1-1) won the victory after replacing Flaherty and will boast the ninth for his 15th judgment.

Jonathan Arianda succeeded in the first, then doubled and scored to give the Rays an advance of 2-0 in the third.

Ryan Pepiot did not allow a blow until the 21st Spencer Torkelson circuit made 2-1 in fourth.

Colt Keith equaled the match with a fifth round single. In the seventh, Zach McKinstry walked, stole his second base in the match and scored when Keith struck his eighth circuit off Edwin Uceta (5-2).

Gleyber Torres chose the fifth to extend his basic sequence at 21 games, one of his career in career. He has reached 22 times twice, more recently in August with New York Yankees.

After having withdrawn Riley Greene to start the eighth, the Rays Eric Orze lift struck Dillon Dingler with a quick ball of 94.4 MPH. Orze ran to the plate to check Dingler, but the land has deviated from his goalkeeper and did not cause an injury. Orze withdrew the following two strikers to escape the jam.
