Chargers Linked to Star WR Following Mike Williams’ Shocking Retirement
The loaders linked to Star WR after the shocking retirement of Mike Williams originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
One of the largest and most widely reported stories of NFL’s off -season has been the Los Angeles loaders and their desperate need for a wide quality receiver.
While they hung some promising, the young Wideouts during this year’s draft, the biggest free agent’s signature they did to the post was Mike Williams.
The adjustment was questionable to start by considering Williams which came out of a two -year period when he tore his ACL, then recorded less than 300 reception yards despite a record of the 18 games.
The former Pittsburgh steeler shocked it a few days ago when he announced his retirement following another major injury, letting the team rush for the help of the receiver.
The charges had many opportunities to trade for elite sensors this offseason, but they each transmitted.
The team has focused on being frugal with its expenses, which is probably why they hesitated to conclude an agreement.
However, a proven receiver is available in a free agency which would be perfect for charges.
Nick Brinkerhoff of USA Today recently listed the team as a potential landing point for the former cowboys superstar from Dallas Amari Cooper
The quintuple professional of Pro spent last season with the Browns of Cleveland and Buffalo Bills where he won just over 500 reception yards, but do not let the figures go wrong. Cooper was in a problematic quarter-arre situation in Cleveland and had trouble finding its place in the offense of Bills.
When he had a constant quarter-back game in 2023, he posted the best season of his career with more than 1,200 yards and 5 affected. Loads can offer him this same consistency and would probably not have to spend too much for the signature.
Cooper hung out of the free market is the exact type of signature that can pass a team to the next level.
