Chelsea legend says that the current recruitment model is “working very well”

I’m not sure all fans will agree with him, but one Chelsea legend says the model works very well.
I think the recruitment model has many advantages, but also many disadvantages, and it lacks serious balance in team building. I think there are a lot of issues that cause too many initial problems. The idea isn’t the worst, and they’ve signed some top young players – some of whom I think will or may become stars at some point. But there have also been some questionable signings.

EXCLUSIVE! The Chelsea legend wants to return to Stamford Bridge and won’t ask for big salaries!
I don’t have a problem with a youth-led recruitment policy – I just think it should have been implemented with more balance and more experience from the start. It would have just helped the raw players be less brutal, given them more motivation and allowed them to learn on the pitch alongside some of the best to do it; players who have been there and done it a hundred times before.
But the former Blue, Gianfranco Zola, says it works very well.
Zola on the model
Gianfranco Zola works as an expert.
As quoted on X, Zola said:

“It seems that the model is working, and it is working very well. I have to say that Maresca has done an incredible job, because he has given structure to the whole team. Everyone knows what they are doing.
“And to think today we’re playing without our best player, Cole Palmer, due to injury, and we’re still performing well and getting results. It’s remarkable.”
