A 7-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was shot multiple times.
The shooting happened early Thursday morning at an apartment complex on Kimberly Way in southwest Atlanta.

An officer on the scene told Channel 2 Action News that the 7-year-old was shot three times in the arm. Paramedics took the boy to a local hospital, where police say he is now stable.

Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach reported live from the scene on Channel 2 Action News This Morning starting at 4:30 a.m. as police collected evidence.
Gehlbach counted dozens of evidence markers outside the apartment building and in the road. Police later confirmed it was a drive-by shooting.
At least three apartments had damage from the gunfire.
