Democrats continue to keep the government shut down, and now it’s tourists visiting Washington, D.C., who are being hit hard by Schumer’s ongoing shutdown.

“All Smithsonian Museums and the National Zoo are now closed due to the Democrats’ shutdown, resulting in ‘great disappointment’ for tourists and the taxpayers who fund them,” the post read. “Democrats started all this because they want to give free health care to illegal immigrants.”
The White House has tried to stem Democrats’ infliction of pain on government employees by taking steps to ensure that military and law enforcement officers continue to be paid.
The OMB is doing everything it can to batten down the hatches and overcome Democratic intransigence.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) went all out and pointed out some of the crazy things Democrats want to fund, many of which don’t even exist in our country, before reopening the government.

For Democrats to reopen government, they want “$24.6 million for climate resilience in Honduras…$3.9 million for LGBTQI+ democracy grants in the Balkans…and $2 million for feminist democratic principles in Africa.”

“It would also recover up to $5 billion in U.S. taxpayer dollars intended for wasteful spending on international projects,” Johnson said.
He pointed out that this was actually in the Democrats’ counterproposal on the CR to keep the government running:
–$24.6 million for climate resilience in Honduras
–$13.4 million for civic engagement in Zimbabwe
–$3.9 million for grants to LGBTQI+ democracy in the Balkans
–2 million dollars to organize feminist democratic principles in Africa
“We don’t do that,” he concluded.
Ultimately, the Democratic Party is hurting Americans. It makes no sense that they refuse to play the game because Republicans don’t want to waste millions of dollars on woke projects around the world just to appease the radicals in their party.
Johnson is right to turn up the heat on them and point out that your plane delays are because the Democrats want to spread their poisonous left-wing policies across the world instead of taking care of Americans.
