Dayton football holds off 2nd half rally to win at Morehead State

The University of Dayton held a furious rally of the second half by Morehead State, but prevailed, 35-28, Saturday.

Dayton led 28-0 at halftime, but the Eagles scored 28 points in the third quarter for the same score at 28-28.

Mason Hackett marked the touch with 1:46. His first race below sealed the match with less than a minute to play.

UD improves at 4-1 in total, 2-0 in the Pioneer Football League.

The teams exchanged three and the outings to start the match. The flyers had an escaped bag which they recovered at their line of five meters and finally sanded. MSU went three years to his first possession.

The next Dayton match will take place on October 11 in Valparaiso. The kick -off is at 2 p.m.
