DNC’s 2024 Autopsy Is Out—and It Completely Misses the Point
“After the Democrats’ massive victories last November, I did not want to create a distraction, but by not releasing the report, I ended up creating an even bigger distraction. For that, I sincerely apologize. In the interest of full transparency, I am releasing the report as we received it, in its entirety, without editing or abridgement. It does not meet my standards, and it will not meet yours, but I do it because people need to be able to trust the Democratic Party and believe in our word,” Martin said.
The report does not examine many of the major criticisms of the Democratic Party’s 2024 campaign, from President Biden’s initial decision to run for office to the impact of Israel’s brutal war in Gaza, which the Biden administration has failed to stop. Another glaring omission was the impact of Vice President Kamala Harris becoming the Democratic nominee for president in late 2024 without anything close to a primary or election process.
It also has multiple errors: It cites Washington Governor Bob Ferguson as a candidate who supposedly did things right, only to then point out that he underperformed Harris in the election. In other discrepancies, there were conflicting vote percentages for the North Carolina gubernatorial race and names of several Democratic politicians were misspelled.
