‘I’ll be surprised if he sees Monday’ – pundits on Glasner

Speaking after Crystal Palace’s limp defeat at the Stadium of Light, former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given said Oliver Glasner’s outburst could bring his tenure to an abrupt end.
“I’ll be surprised if he sees Monday morning, let alone the end of the season,” Given told BBC Match of the Day.

“Abandoned is one of the strongest words anyone can use. I’ve never seen a manager interview like that before. You could see he was angry with the powers that be at the football club.”
Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha agrees, saying Saturday’s defeat could have been the final straw for the former Eintracht Frankfurt boss.
“It seems like he’s reached the breaking point,” Onuoha told Final Score.
“At times this year he’s seemed pretty quiet. It’s been a tough lesson, to be honest.”
Former England striker Alan Shearer added on Match of the Day: “Just like Enzo Maresca and Ruben Amorim before him, I’d be really surprised if he’s still manager of Crystal Palace next weekend.
“Whether he says that and stands up to his bosses, there will only be one outcome.”
