Best prices today: Nomad Stand One
From innovative cables and classic watch bands to premium iPhone cases and design-conscious charging devices, Nomad offers a range of stylish tech accessories that should match every Apple user’s aspirations.
The company has updated its Stand One wireless iPhone charger with the latest Qi2 25W (Qi 2.2) technology standard to keep its lineup up to date. It follows similar 25W launches from Belkin, Anker, Baseus and ESR.
Note that Qi2 25W is only supported by iPhone 16 or later. Older iPhones (12-15) will still receive power through the chargers, but at 15W, which is still significantly faster than cheaper 7.5W chargers that are simply MagSafe compatible.
Nomad offers two models: the basic Stand One, a 2-in-1 charging stand for iPhone and AirPods; and the Stand One Max, a 3-in-1 horizontal charger for iPhone, AirPods and Watch. This is the fourth generation of this classic design.

Nomad Stand One: 2 in 1 wireless charger
The Nomad Stand One is a stylish yet reassuring 2-in-1 charging stand for iPhone and AirPods. It’s made from metal and glass and looks good enough to adorn an Apple Store’s Genius Bar desk. The chassis is made of solid metal with a premium glass panel and a non-slip rubber base.
Magnetic wireless charging is possible with any iPhone from the 12 model onwards, with the odd exception of the iPhone 16e.
The AirPods 5W Qi charging dish is hidden behind the iPhone stand, supporting any AirPods case that supports wireless charging.
Measuring 5 x 3.3 x 2.7 inches (12.7 x 8.3 x 6.9 cm), it’s compact but not particularly portable as it weighs 1.3 lbs (575 g). There are much lighter 2-in-1 stands, but one of the benefits of the Stand One is exactly that paperweight status as a sturdy desk stand.

In our testing, the Stand One 25W met expectations with a 50% charge time of 36 minutes. That’s a bit above the best we’ve seen (28 minutes) and the 33-minute average, but certainly faster than the 45-50 minutes it takes a 15W charger – including the previous third-generation Stand One – to do the same.
We test at 50%, because after this level, charging tends to slow down as protective measures begin to limit the amount of juice flowing through the phone to protect its battery from overheating.
Overheating is a risk for high-performance devices, as 25W generates a reasonable temperature at full power.
To reduce this temperature, some 25W wireless chargers include active cooling, but the Stand One does not have a fan. The company claims that the metal frame of the stand effectively acts as a heat sink, eliminating the need for a fan. This keeps him completely silent.
The mount is solid and immovable in terms of adjustment. Nomad calls the Stand One’s 21º viewing angle “perfect,” but if you like moving your phone to a position that’s more convenient for you, you need to look elsewhere for other charging stands. The iPhone can be set up in portrait or landscape orientation and works with Apple’s sleep mode for displaying the clock or photos.

Nomad Stand One Max: 3 in 1 wireless charger
The Nomad Stand One Max takes the Stand One design and transforms it into a horizontal pillow style measuring 3.2 x 6.3 x 5 inches (8.2 x 16.1 x 12.8 cm). Again, it’s reliable and sturdy, weighing almost 2 pounds (just under 1 kg).
It features the same 25W 21-degree vertical iPhone wireless charging stand, but with the AirPods cushion placed next to it rather than behind it, and a hard-shell Apple Watch on the other end for fast charging. All versions of Apple Watch are supported.
None of the chargers are adjustable. As with the Stand One 2-in-1, Nomad believes its viewing angle is ideal and that moving the Apple Watch charger wouldn’t be a good idea because the magnetic connection isn’t as firm as with the iPhone.

Two models in two colors
Stand One and Stand One Max are available in silver and white or black (which Nomad calls “Carbide”).
Each comes with a decent-length 2m nylon braided cable, but doesn’t come with the required 40W or higher USB-C wall charger.
Price
The Nomad Stand One costs $119/£99 and the Stand One Max costs $159/£139. For Apple chic, you pay Apple prices.
As with Apple and its iPhone, there’s no USB-C wall charger included in the box for, uh, environmental reasons (although there is a matching cable), so if you don’t have a spare charger, you’ll need to invest in one with 40W or more power. Check out our recommendations for the best USB-C chargers.
You can certainly buy cheaper, but here you’re paying for something with a little more class than most.
