Dyson’s V15s Detect Submarine for just AU$724 is my favourite early Black Friday deal – a new all-time Aussie low

The last time I saw a good price on the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine it was AU$733 – that was early 2025 on Amazon. The price has hovered around the AU$800 mark during big sales, but The Good Guys can beat the previous all-time low by a decent margin.

It’s all thanks to the current Click Frenzy sale – you can follow our live coverage for more deals – but here’s how you can get this massive discount which drops the price to just AU$724.

I use this vacuum at home myself – and you can read my honest thoughts on it in my Dyson V15s Detect Submarine review – but I’ll be the first to admit that it’s not the best vacuum in Australia, or even the best stick vacuum. This has nothing to do with his cleaning prowess, however.

This is a fantastic cordless vacuum cleaner! Its 240 AW suction cleans carpets remarkably well and I’m always amazed at how well it can clean. In fact, I use it regularly to mop up wet spills and my floors are always streak-free. The only reason it doesn’t make our list of the best vacuum cleaners is because its underwater roller head has a design flaw that requires you to be careful. After you finish cleaning.

You see, the dirty water compartment is not completely sealed, so when you remove the cleaning head from the sub and carry it to a sink, there is a good chance that there will be a spill. This is despite the fact that Dyson has thoughtfully added a drip tray for the accessory. (Dyson has solved this problem in its first dedicated wet cleaner – read our Dyson WashG1 review to learn more and see how the two models compare in our Dyson WashG1 vs Dyson V15s Submarine article.)

Other than that, I have no complaints.

I should note that this is the Absolute version of the V15s Detect Submarine, so you don’t get the standalone dock or the Fluffy Optic cleaning tool for hard floors, but that’s neither here nor there – I find myself using the Digital Motorbar a lot more even though I have the Fluffy Optic.

At full price, it’s an expensive vacuum, especially since it’s now being replaced by Dyson models, like the V16 Piston Animal. This price drop, however, absolutely deserves to be taken into account.
