Erin Andrews on the Fur Coat That Went (Very) Viral

“I knew when my stylist, Daniela Romero, suggested I wear it that it was outside the box and super fun — and I thought Philadelphia was the best place to do it,” Andrews told Glamor. “I forgot I was wearing it when I did my first NFL hit on the FOX Pregame Show because I was so locked in. I was introducing Christian McCaffrey, and he’s the wild card, it’s a big deal.”
Andrews, 47, said that although some Eagles players and staff commented on the coat at the start of the game — as well as colleague Michael Strahan — she didn’t expect it to go so viral and had “no idea” what was happening on social media until after the game. But, as the founder of her own sportswear line, WEAR by Erin Andrews, she understands the massive exposure that a big televised game can bring. “I remember the first time Taylor Swift was seen wearing pieces from my line and the effect it had on our brand. Knowing that I can wear Rob [Zangardi’s] amazing clothes and making an impact in one way or another has been such an honor.

“We’re not even three months old, and while we’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received so far, seeing the coat go viral during a game watched by tens of millions of people was on a whole new level,” Zangardi told Glamor.
It’s hard to imagine that people online had never seen an oversized fur jacket before, but according to Andrews, part of the reaction probably came from the fact that they had never seen an oversized fur jacket before. her wear something like that. “I think this coat caught people’s attention just because it’s such a different look for me,” she said. “In the wind, I know it looked like a Beyoncé video. It was fun, it was fabulous, it felt like a big event, it felt like a big wild card playoff game on FOX. It was the perfect time to wear this piece and I’m so excited that we did it.”
