The world series of Little League 2025 is underway, with some of the best young players in the country in competition in Williamsport – all in the hope of finally going to the major leagues.

And some of them will … as evidenced by all the elders of the Little League in the Major League Baseball today.

This year’s MLB Little League Classic between the Seattle Navy and the New York Mets will feature a number of MLB players who have played Little League baseball in one way or another, either with local teams in their country of origin or with the small league in particular. In fact, the manager of Seattle, Dan Wilson, played in the Little Baseball Series 1981 with Barrington (Illinois) Little League.

While the Mariners and the Dies compete in the historic Bowman Field in Williamsport on August 17 – which you can watch on “Sunday Night Baseball” of ESPN broadcast at 7 pm HE – take a look at “then” and “now” photos of notable players from each team that played Little League.
