Netanyahu Responds to Death Rumors, Shares Video of Getting Coffee

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to rumors circulating on social media that he was dead, by sharing a video of himself having a cup of coffee.

In a video common on X, Netanyahu was seen in a cafe taking a sip of coffee. Netanyahu is also seen raising each of his hands in turn to show that each has five fingers.

“What do they say I am? Look,” says the translated text of Netanyahu’s message on X.

In the video, Netanyahu also says, “I think the coffee is to die for, I think my nation is to die for.” New York Post reported.

“We’re doing things that I can’t share right now, but we’re doing things,” Netanyahu shared in the video, adding that Israel was “hitting Iran very hard,” according to the outlet.

Netanyahu’s comments came after rumors swirled that he had been “assassinated,” according to the outlet.

The rumors came in response to a video job at X Friday, which people claimed was created by artificial intelligence (AI). Some people also claimed that it appeared to have six fingers instead of five.

THE Jerusalem Post reported that the rumor of Netanyahu’s death “was initially spread by the Iranian Tasnim news agency.”

In the video, Netanyahu also advised Israeli citizens to “continue to listen to the instructions of the Home Front Command at all times” and to “always stay near shelter,” according to the media outlet.

In response to Netanyahu’s proof-of-life video, several people claimed that this video was also AI.

Another user interviewed how Netanyahu was able to “casually go to a cafe almost an hour from Tel Aviv” if Israeli citizens are “confined to shelters.”
