One of the Tennessee Titans’ goals during the offseason was to bring in more talent for second-year quarterback Cam Ward. Through free agency and the draft, the Titans brought in new talent, including veteran wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson.
Robinson played his first four seasons in the NFL with the New York Giants, but he became a free agent this year, and with Brian Daboll, former Giants head coach, now the Titans’ offensive coordinator, it didn’t take long for the wide receiver to make his way south.

After OTAs on Thursday, Robinson spoke with the media. He discussed how it’s a different feeling to be considered a veteran, but he’s doing everything he can to impart his knowledge onto his younger teammates. He also talked about building chemistry with Cam Ward.
“It’s been great,” Robinson said. “Pretty much every day, we’ve been watching whatever is going on in practice, whatever reads we may have. Being in the slot, we have a lot of different options and can go a lot of different places, and just making sure we’re on the same page with that is a pretty big deal, and I feel like we’re coming along at it pretty well too.”
Robinson is then asked if they’ve had any miscommunication and how Ward addressed it.

“Maybe early on, but pretty much after just about all those types of option routes, I would just go back to him like, ‘hey, did you like what I did there, is there anything you wanted me to do right here,’ so just getting all the feedback from him, whatever he needs me to do to go out there and get open and be a valuable target for him.”
Robinson may still feel young and like it’s odd to be considered a veteran, but he certainly acts like one. A veteran wide receiver getting a feel for his new quarterback understands that communication is the biggest factor in building the bond they need to have to be successful. Ward isn’t one to shy away from communicating with his guys, either, but Robinson taking the initiative to get that ball rolling will only make that bond stronger.
Between Robinson, Carnell Tate, and returning veteran Calvin Ridley, plus Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike, Ward definitely has weapons at his disposal in 2026. Now, the Titans just have to figure out how to make the best use of all of the talent they have available.
