Fantasy Football Week 5 Waiver Wire: Darius Slayton should see plenty of targets with Malik Nabers out

There are four teams on a Bye in week 5 with Falcons, Bears, Packers and Steelers. This means that we have broken down many star players in this score period.
At the same time, we keep an eye on several major injuries that occurred during week 4, notably in Malik Nabers (knee), which is lost for the season with a torn LCA. And Tyreek Hill (knee) suffered what seems to be an injury at the end of the season on Monday evening. We are also waiting to find updates for Lamar Jackson (hamstrings) and Ricky Pearsall (knee), among others.
It’s going to be another week loaded on the derogation wire, and you should be ready to go from the fabulous. And this is a good thing that we have solid options available in Woody Marks (54%Rancard on CBS Sports), Kenneth Gainwell (22%), Romeo Doubs (58%), Darius Slayton (3%) and Darren Waller (14%) – with many others.
We break down all these players and more, as always. Do not panic with the first week of access, or if your list is faced with several injuries. We have covered you to prepare your list to leave.
Publisher’s note: For this column of derogation wire, we only look at the players noted in less than 65% of the CBS sports leagues.
Distribution of week 5
On a bye: Caleb Williams, Jordan Love, Michael Penix Jr. and Aaron Rodgers
Injuries: Lamar Jackson (ischio-legs), Brock Purdy (Orteil), Jayden Daniels (knee), Joe Burrow (Orteil) and JJ McCarthy (ankle)
Check to see if available in shallow leagues: Matthew Stafford (73 percent Rossé): Stafford experienced a huge match in week 4 against the colts with 375 yards by the pass, three affected and no interception. He has now scored at least 21.3 fantasy points in two of his last three games, and it is worth used as a low -end starter in all the leagues of week 5 against San Francisco on Thursday evening.
Drop candidates: Geno Smith (63 percent reduced), Trevor Lawrence (56%) and Aaron Rodgers (40%). I had great expectations for Smith in week 4 against the Bears, and he fought with three interceptions and only scored 13.8 fantasy points. It will be difficult to trust week 5 at the colts in the a quarter leagues. … Lawrence scored 13.7 fantasy points or less in all matches except this season and is not worth starting in a quarter of a quarter against the chiefs of week 5. … Rodgers scored 15.7 fantastic points or less in three games in a row and is not worth keeping your alignment in a quarterback needles with the Steelers in Bye.

Back-back
Injuries: Jaylen Warren (knee), Aaron Aaron Jones (ischio-legs), Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder), Joe Mixon (foot), Tyjae Spears (ankle) and Miles Sanders (Ankle)
Check to see if available in shallow leagues: Ollie Gordon II (76 percent Rossied), Kareem Hunt (75%) and Brian Robinson Jr. (72%). I will update this Monday evening according to what Gordon does against jets, but he faces the Panthers of week 5 and could be a flexible option in deeper leagues. … Hunt managed 14 seasonal keys in week 4 against Baltimore, but only managed 47 yards in total. However, it is worth clinging for another week while the chiefs are trying to understand their racing game. … I want to read Robinson in all the leagues because he could be a lottery ticket if Christian McCaffrey was missing at any time due to an injury.
Drop candidates: Nick Chubb (94%reduced), Tyrone Tracy Jr. (80%), Rachaad White (79%), Kyle Monangai (48%) and Kaleb Johnson (45%). Chubb managed 15 keys in total in week 4 against Tennessee, and he finished with 62 yards in total, including two catches. But Woody Marks is about to resume the rear field of Houston, and you can drop CHUBB in all the 10 teams. … Tracy did not play in week 4 against the loads as planned with a shoulder injury, and we do not know when he returns. When it is healthy, it is clearly behind Cam Skattebo for the Giants, and you can drop Tracy in all the 10 teams. … White had four catches in week 4 against Philadelphia, but he scored 8.6 PPR points or less in three of the four games this year. It is worth keeping if you want to handcuff him to Bucky Irving, but White will only be relevant if Irving is missing at any time due to an injury. You can drop white into all the leagues to 10 teams. … Monangai is goodbye in week 5 and is not worth making the majority of the leagues at this stage of the season. It will probably only be relevant if of Andre Swift is missing at any time due to an injury. … Even if Jaylen Warren (Knee) was released during week 4 against Minnesota, Johnson still had only six races for 22 yards and no taking on a single target while playing behind Kenneth Gainwell. Johnson is not worth playing in the majority of leagues with Pittsburgh on Bye during week 5.

Wide receivers
Injuries: Malik Nabers (ACL), Tyreek Hill (knee), Ricky Pearsall (knee), Jauan Jennings (non-disclosed), Darnell Mooney (ischio-legs), Ceedee Lamb (Ankle), Mike Evans (Jayne), Terry McLaurin (Ankle), Jayden Redans (Jayne. (Collarbone), Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Jalen Coker (Quadriceps), Xavier Legette (ischio-legs), Alec Pierce (Concrete), Dyami Brown (shoulder), Christian Watson (knee) and Jalen McMillan (neck)
Check to see if available in shallow leagues: JAUAN JENNINGS (82 percent reduced), Khalil Shakir (77%), Stefon Diggs (76%) and Wan’Dale Robinson (66%). Jennings may not play Thursday evening against Rams, but Ricky Pearsall (knee) could also be absent. If Jennings is active, it has the potential to be a fantastic receiver n ° 2 in all the leagues. And, in good health, Jennings will be a weekly starter in most leagues of three receivers, so add it if available. … Shakir had another solid outing in week 4 against New Orleans with five catches for 69 yards and one touch on five targets, and he has now scored at least 12.4 PPR points in three of the four games this season. It is worth used as a fantastic receiver n ° 3 in all the leagues in the future and should be picked up where it is always available in any format. … Diggs finally had a match in small groups with the Patriots during week 4 against Caroline with six catches for 101 yards on seven targets. Hopefully it is a sign of things to come, and Diggs should be added in all the leagues where it is always available. … Robinson has experienced the last two games with four combined catches for 40 yards on nine targets against chiefs and charges, but he should benefit from them with Malik Nabers (ACL) now for the season. Last season, in two naber -free games, Robinson combined for 11 catches, 86 yards and one touch on 20 targets and on average 13 PPR points during this period. Add Robinson in all formats if necessary.
Drop candidates: Malik Nabers (100%reduced), Calvin Ridley (86%), Travis Hunter (83%), Tyquan Thornton (69%) and Cedric Tillman (44%). Nabers came out for the season, so unfortunately you can drop it into all the straightening leagues. I hope it will return in 2026 to 100%. … Ridley has not yet scored more than 8.7 PPR points in any match, and he has not yet found the goal area. There are few reasons to align him in leagues with 10 teams, and he is probably also dropp with 12 team formats. … Hunter has just had a record of 42 seasonal yards during week 4 in San Francisco, and he scored 9.3 PPR or less points in every game this season. There is still hope so that it begins to produce at a high level, but it is droppable in all the leagues at 10 teams before week 5 against chiefs. … Xavier Worthy returned for the Chiefs of Week 4 against Baltimore, and the role of Thornton was reduced. He finished with a socket for 11 yards on two targets, and he is sure to drop him into the majority of the leagues, in particular with Rashee Rice (suspended) ready to return in week 7. … Tillman (ischio-leg) should be missing several weeks, and he could be absent by Cleveland bye in week 9. It is not worth turning back into most leagues while wounded.

On a bye: Kyle Pitts, Tucker Kraft, Jonnu Smith, Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet
Injuries: George Kittle (Ischio-Jumbers), Colston Loveland (Hip) and Ja’tavion Sanders (ankle)
Check to see if available in shallow leagues: Dalton Kincaid (83 percent reduced), Juwan Johnson (80%), Dallas Goedert (75%) and Kyle Pitts (68%). Kincaid has scored a hit in three of the four games this season, and he has two games with six targets over the year. It should be considered a tight end of fantasy n ° 1 in all the leagues to move forward. … Johnson had his worst match of the season during week 4 in Buffalo with 5.8 PPR points, but he scored at least 11.1 PPR points in each of his first three games. There remains a fantastic tight winger to start before week 5 against the giants. … GOEDERT has played three games this season and has scored at least 10.3 PPR points in each outing. He has affected three games in the last two games and should be considered a low -end starter in all the leagues before week 5 against Denver. … Pitts enters his goodbye on a high note with a summit of 18 ppr of the season against Washington in week 4. He has at least four catches in each match this season, and he should be noted in all the leagues, even with the Falcons in Bye. And he could benefit from it if Darnell Mooney (hamstrings) would miss at any time.
Drop candidates: David Njoku (83 percent reduced), Harold Fannin Jr. (53%), Jonnu Smith and Colston Loveland (36%). You may want to hold the tight bits of the Browns for another week to see if they benefit from Cedric Tillman (hamstrings), but it has been disappointing for the two so far after four games. Njoku has not yet marked two figures in PPR this season, and Fannin was held at 9.8 PPP points in three games in a row. None of the tight Browns marked a touch this year. … Smith has combined for nine catches for 56 yards and no affected in its last three games on 10 targets. It is not worth keeping during goodbye in week 5. … Loveland (Hip) missed week 4, and the Bears have a Bye in week 5. You can drop it now, and we will see if he is healthy for week 6 when Chicago is back in action.
