Lenovo reveals Legion Go 2 with OLED display packing 144Hz refresh rate and VRR – and a big boost for battery life

Lenovo has unleashed his second generation Go Gaming Handeld Legion to his innovation event World 2025 among all IFA 2025 revelations.
The Legion Go 2 2 is roughly the same as the original laptop at 11 proportional and keeps the screen of 8.8 inch, but it was upgraded to an OLED panel. However, as the rumor says, it lowers the resolution of the current 1600p to 1200p (known as Wuxga, 1920 x 1200).
The new display has a 144 Hz refreshment rate with VRR (variable refresh rate) for smoother games, and it has HDR Trueblack 1000 certification, it should therefore provide striking and lively colors with deep blacks (as you can imagine with an OLED).
Under the hood, we have the AMD Ryzen Z2 – or Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor for more groan – and the pocket computer can be configured with up to 32 GB of RAM system (at 8000 MHz).
For storage, the Legion Go 2 can be equipped with a PCIE 4.0 SSD of 2 TB, and a microSD location allows you to develop up to 2 to space.
Lenovo also gave the battery an upgrade, so it is now an effort of 74Whr, against 49Whr on the Go of the Legion of origin, which represents a 50% increase in capacity.
As indicated, the design remains roughly the same, but there are new twists and turns, such as a fingerprint reader in the power button for Swift biometric connections.
In addition, there are room effect joysticks, and the controllers of the Truestrike legion have been modified to provide what Lenovo describes as “more ergonomic lines, a smoother sensation and a smarter button arrangement” – there are three programmable buttons that can be personalized to your taste.
The new Truestrike controllers are compatible behind with the previous device, so if you want to use them with a first generation legion, you can do it.
Lenovo set the starting price at $ 1,049 in the United States for the basic model, with the workforce for sale in October.
Analysis: More punch in your portable autonomy and more battery
Overall, there is a new hard -hitting equipment here, and this OLED screen will undoubtedly increase the quality of the portable game experience offered – drawn by this more robust AMD processor.
Some people may be disappointed that Lenovo has abandoned the resolution of the screen, and I come from where they come from – but I suppose that the screen will not disappoint.
Do not forget either that in particular with pocket computers, image frequencies and battery life are major concerns – and switch to 1200p will help reach a more fluid gameplay and better battery longevity. Speaking of the latter, we also have a much larger energy pack here, so overall, this should be a big boost while remaining power during the moving game.
