As part of its enforcement activities, the Food and Drug Administration sends warning letters to entities within its jurisdiction. Some letters are not released to the public until weeks or months after they are sent. Business owners have 15 days to respond to FDA warning letters. Warning letters are often only issued when the company has had months or years to correct the problems. Typically, parts of the letters are redacted and are not publicly available.

In a March 5, 2026 warning letter, the Food and Drug Administration cited significant violations of Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) regulations at Life Plus Style Gourmet LLC in Plainview, New York.

During an FSVP inspection from January 27-29, 2026 – with prior inspections in 2022 and 2023 – the FDA found that the company had not developed, maintained and followed an FSVP for the foods it imports, except for products from a specific supplier (redacted by FDA).
