Florida opens new ‘Deportation Depot’ migrant detention facility

Florida opened a second migrant detention center called “Depot Depot”, which now accepts prisoners, the Governor Ron Desantis office said on Friday.

The detention center is located inside the old Baker correctional establishment located in Sanderson, in the northern part of the state.

Friday, 117 people are detained in the establishment, which has the capacity to house up to 1,500.
