Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez arrested on battery charges after being hospitalized in Indianapolis

The former NFL quarter-rear, Mark Sanchez, was arrested for several charges after being hospitalized following an incident in Indianapolis early Saturday morning, police announced.
Sanchez, 38 years old, was arrested in a local hospital suspected of battery with an injury, an illegal entry of an engine vehicle and public poisoning, said all the crimes, said the Metropolitan Police Service in Indianapolis in a statement published on social networks.
Sanchez remains hospitalized and has not been reserved in prison, police said.
Sanchez agent Andrew Kessler previously told CBS News that Sanchez was in a stable state and recovered in a hospital.
“That’s really all I know and that I can say,” he said.
In a previous statement, the police said that two adult men were involved in a “physical disturbance” around 12:30 p.m. local time. One man had suffered from apparent stabs and the other had undergone lacerations. The detectives said that the two men seemed to know each other and that the incident was not an act of random violence. They did not identify the victims, but said that the two were not local residents.

“We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support,” Fox News Sports said in a press release at CBS News. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask everyone to respect their private life and family during this period.”
Police said the case would be presented to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for an indictment.
A choice of first round 2009 from the University of Southern California, Sanchez played the quarter-arre for the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears, among other teams.
