Gemini Deep Research comes to Google Finance, backed by prediction market data

Financial markets can turn in the blink of an eye and AI cannot predict the future. However, Google seems to think that people make smart overall predictions when there’s money on the line. That’s why, as part of the Finance update, Google has partnered with Kalshi and Polymarket, the current leaders in online prediction markets.
These platforms allow people to bet on just about anything. If you have an idea of when Google will release Gemini 3.0, when the government shutdown will end, or how many tweets Elon Musk will post this month, you can bet on it. Maybe you’ll make money, but more likely, you’ll lose it: only 12.7% of crypto wallets on Polymarket show profits.
Google says it will get new prediction data from both sites, allowing Gemini to speculate about the future with “the wisdom of crowds.” Google suggests you type “What will GDP growth be for 2025?” » in the search box. Finance will extract the latest probabilities from Kalshi and Polymarket to generate an answer which could include graphs and charts based on people’s bets. Of course, Google makes no promises about the accuracy of these predictions.
Google Finance’s new AI features will be available to all US users in the coming weeks, and starting this week, the service will debut in India. Likewise, market forecast data will arrive in the coming weeks. If that’s not fast enough, you can choose to get early access through the Google Labs page.
