Google can now generate a fake AI podcast of your search results

Notebooklm is undoubtedly one of the best implementations of Google of generative AI technology, giving you the possibility of exploring documents and notes with a Gemini AI model. Last year, Google added the possibility of generating “audio glimpses” called your source equipment in Notebooklm. Now Google has brought these false AI podcasts to search results as a test. Instead of clicking on links or reading AI’s overview, you can ask two non -existent people to tell you what the results say.
This feature does not currently deploy – it is available in research laboratories, which means you have to activate it manually. Anyone can adapt to the new audio audio research experience, however. If you join the test, you will quickly see the reader integrated into Google search results. However, it is not at the top with the usual block of the text generated by AI. Instead, you will see it after the first search results, below the graphic knowledge section “people also ask”.

Google does not waste resources to automatically generate the audio, so you need to click on the generate button to start. A few seconds later, you have a back and forth conversation between two votes from AI summarizing the research results. The player includes a list of sources from which the overview is built, as well as the option to accelerate or slow down reading.
