Headlines like “Poll: Voters Mixed on Election Accuracy” Fuel Growing Lack of Confidence in Our Elections (March 30).

It took reading to the very end of the article to discover that election clerks have well-defined processes, and that election workers observe the closing of polls to ensure protected and accurate vote totals. Voter fraud is rare in Wisconsin. There is no report that Marquette University Law School pollsters asked people where they got their information that made them “believe that election officials routinely submit false vote counts.”

We, the election officials, must also sign the records of election results from the voting machines that are given to the Election Commission.

A better headline would have been: “Diligent Election Clerks and Election Officials Ensure Accurate Elections in Wisconsin.” »

Notice: Key to midterm elections is understanding WI voters’ economic angst
