How to get a free 50-inch Samsung TV: Just buy an on-sale 8K model at Best Buy

SAVE UP TO 35% AND GET FREE TV: Starting February 3, Best Buy will give you a free Samsung 50-inch 4K TV (valued at $299.99) with the purchase of a 2024 or 2025 Neo QLED 8K TV on sale.
Plus, get a free 50-inch TV ($299.99 value)
In the sea of live TV deals in honor of this weekend’s Seahawks vs. Patriots showdown, one of Best Buy’s TV promotions stands out with more than a flat discount.
Not only are several 2024 and 2025 Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs already discounted by over $1,000 themselves, but buying one will also get you a free 50-inch Samsung U7900 4K TV (a $299.99 value). If you’re already looking for a high-end model to upgrade your living room TV, why not upgrade your bedroom or garage TV for free while you’re at it?
Sizes on sale range from 65 to 100 inches and discounts range from 20% to around 34% off. The best deal (the one with the biggest percentage price drop) is the 85-inch Samsung QN900D Neo QLED 8K TV on sale for $3,999.99. That’s $2,000 off the usual $5,999.99.
Sony sells its TV business to TCL. What this means for you.
Do you necessarily need an 8K TV right now? Not exactly. There still isn’t a ton of 8K content to take advantage of the incredible resolution of an 8K TV. Being expensive, 8K TVs are a bit difficult to sell at full price. But when they see sale prices like Best Buy is offering here today, it’s a good deal. A high-end Samsung Neo QLED is still a high-end Samsung Neo QLED in all its glory. The Samsung QN900D and QN900F series are exceptionally bright with sensational glare management, and the mini LED backlight provides quite rich contrast for a non-OLED TV. This type of free TV promotion is the epitome of the clearinghouse we see from major retailers every winter. The cycle starts at CES in early January, when major brands unveil their 2026 TV lineups. But most of the announced flagship TVs aren’t actually available for sale until March or April, leaving February as the key month for reducing inventory of last year’s TVs. The timing coincides perfectly with the biggest football game of the year.
PS The Seahawks vs. Patriots game will be broadcast on Peacock. You can sign up for a 30-day free trial of Walmart+ and get a free month of Peacock. This will also cover the Olympics for you.
