How to Post Anonymously in a Facebook Group

If you want to publish something in a Facebook group without revealing your name, use the anonymous publication function of Facebook. It is easy to do, assuming that a group administrator has activated the functionality. We will show you how to use it.
What to know about anonymous Facebook publications
To make an anonymous message in a Facebook group, the group must have allowed the functionality. Also note that the administrators, moderators and the group’s Facebook team can always see your name in your anonymous messages. In addition, anonymous messages will not appear immediately. You will have to wait for the approval of an administrator or a moderator.
If you are the administrator and want to activate the anonymous publication in your group, consult the instructions at the end of this guide.
Publish anonymously in a Facebook group
To create an anonymous article in a Facebook group, you can use any device supported by Facebook, such as a Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook, iPad, iPad or Android device.
The steps to compose an anonymous message are almost the same on all devices. We will use Facebook’s web version to demonstrate the procedure for this guide.
To start, launch a web browser on your computer and go to the Facebook website. When the site takes care, select “groups” in the sidebar on the left.
Select the group in which you want to publish. Then, under the new post text box, search “post anonymous”. If you do not see that, the group does not have an anonymous publication activated.
Facebook will open a “post anonymous” window. Click on “Create an anonymous publication” at the bottom of this window.
You will now see a “Create a post” window. Here, click on the large text field and make up your message as you would normally. When you are done, click “Submit” at the bottom of the window.
Facebook will submit your message to the Group’s administrators and moderators. Your message will only be published when an administrator or a moderator approves it. And that’s how you publish something in a group without revealing your identity!
How to activate anonymous publication in a Facebook group
To activate the anonymous publication in a Facebook group, you must be an administrator in this group. Open the Facebook site and select “groups” in the sidebar, then choose your group.
On the screen of your group, select “Group settings” in the sidebar in the “Settings” section.
Scroll to the “Manage discussion” settings and search for “anonymous participation. If it is not already activated, click on the pencil icon and select” On “from the context menu.
And you have managed to activate anonymous publications in your Facebook group! Use the same steps to deactivate anonymous messages in your group at any time.
It’s great to see Facebook to have an option like this, where you can publish a certain content without revealing your name. This should work very well for the articles with which you do not want your name to be published, for various reasons.
