Yesterday, during her Meta Connect conference in 2025, Meta finally unveiled her first Ray-Ban intelligent glasses which actually have a screen inside. I haven’t tried myself yet, but according to my colleagues from Cnet, see is believing. If you want to book a demo to try the new Meta-Ray-Ban display glasses, you are lucky: they appear in certain stores across the country and you can already plan your visit. In fact, you will have to do it if you really want to bring a pair home.
Meta Ray-Ban’s smart glasses are similar to the smart glasses that the two companies have already published since 2021, but if the name has not already given it, they now have a screen inside. It’s not AR, so you don’t get the track tracking or a large virtual screen located in your environment, but you get a small 600×600 screen on your right eye that you can use, say, check the texts or watch an Instagram coil. It is also deprived, according to my colleagues from Cnet, with intelligent manufacture preventing people from seeing what is on your display through the transparent lens.
And it is delivered with a special “neural bracelet” to navigate in reality, which can pick up the movements of the thumb, the pliers and the others and translate them into shots and taps.
All this seems whimsical – would I dare to say “innovative”? – Even if it is delivered with a price of $ 799 (the latest generation of meta-band intelligent glasses was $ 379). But if you are going to drop so much on such an unproven product, I don’t blame you to want to go with it before buying. And it seems that Meta no longer.
Even if smart glasses display Meta Ray-Ban technically start to ship on September 30, you cannot buy them online. Instead, you will have to make a demo in store before you can really get a pair. These demos are available in Ray-Ban stores, but also partners, including Lenscraft, Hut and Best Buy screens. You can book demos directly on the site of a specific store if you have a favorite, as we see on this Best Buy link, but the best way to see all the demos available near you is via the Meta site.
Simply access this planner page on the Meta Site and enter your address to see the participating stores near you and the dates when they have available demos. Then press “Plan a demo” on a shop of your choice to be taken to the site of this store to finish the reservation.
What do you think so far?
While the Meta site showed me meetings from today, none of the stores I clicked to have availability until October, so don’t be surprised if the planner data is a little late.
What do you need for your Ray-Ban display demo?
Generally, you can simply go to your Ray-Ban display demo and be golden. But if you wear prescription lenses, you will have to either bring contacts or know the details of your goal. Meta’s demonstration kits can accommodate a range from -4.00 to +4.00 prescriptions, so plan accordingly.
Then it’s just about trying the glasses. When you have finished, you can either buy your pair or hold. If you wait, you will receive an email with the details of your appointment.
Meta says that this limits purchases to people who have tried a demo at the moment to ensure adjustment and satisfaction, but that more purchase options will come “over time”. This is excellent news for people who live outside the United States, because demos are currently limited to the country of origin of Meta. However, the company claims that demos extend to Canada, France, Italy and the United Kingdom at the beginning of 2026.
