How Trump Voters Are Reacting to the Economy

President Trump’s approval rating for his handling of the economy appears to be declining, according to a recent poll by The New York Times. Panelists on Washington Week with the Atlantic joined to examine how voters’ perceptions of the president might change, and more.
Faced with rising costs, some Trump voters have started cutting back on spending, according to Yvonne Wingett Sanchez, a staff writer at The Atlanticsaid last night, referring to voters she spoke with while reporting in Arizona. “These are the sacrifices they have to make within their home and their own household to be able to afford this environment,” she added. For these voters, “psychologically, they have the impression of being in a very bad situation”.
Join the editor-in-chief of The AtlanticJeffrey Goldberg, to discuss this and much more: Annie Linskey, White House reporter at The Wall Street Journal; Seung Min Kim, White House reporter for the Associated Press; Tyler Pager, White House correspondent at The New York Times; and Sanchez.
