Bees have some ways to cope with a warming Earth, but researchers fear for their future

While global temperatures are increasing under climate change, bees responsible for the pollination of many cultures are subject to increasing stress and scientists try to understand how they are affected. This is an important question because bees are essential to fruits, vegetables, nuts and other foods that humans need. Scientists have discovered that bees fly differently during extreme heat and can also face the same way as humans – finding a fresher environment. But they are unable to do as much as they do normally, and scientists fear that heat makes bees more vulnerable to diseases.
