Hurricane Erin brought coastal floods in certain parts of North Carolina and Virginia when she made her approach closest to the American continent on Thursday.
High waves have been washed on motorway 12 which links the exterior chain of the island of Banks, which makes the pieces impossible, the images published by the local authorities have shown: the capacity of the giant storm to launch dangerous seas hundreds of kilometers from its center.
Although the midfielder had the weight of the impacts, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) urged beach enthusiasts throughout the east coast to arise to avoid being taken in potentially deadly conditions.
In a morning update, the NHC said that the category 2 Erin won 105 miles (169 kilometers) per hour and slowly ramp in the north-north. We expect him to weaken when he moves further at sea in the next two days.
The Atlantic Hurricane season, which takes place from June 1 to November 30, has entered its historic peak.
Despite a relatively silent start with only five storms called so far, notably Erin, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration continues to plan a season greater than normal.
Scientists say that climate change is a supercharging of tropical cyclones: the warmer oceans feed the stronger winds, a warmer atmosphere intensifies precipitation and higher sea levels enlarge the storm waves.
There is also evidence, although less certainty, that climate change makes hurricanes more frequent.
