I can’t stop thinking about Logitech’s radical Superstrike gaming mouse

I’ve seen it all when it comes to gaming mice: RGB lighting, all types and shapes of buttons, and super-fast sensors that feel instantaneous. So it was with a little enthusiasm that I laid eyes on Logitech’s latest gaming mouse.
Unveiled at this year’s Logitech G Play event, the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike mouse doesn’t follow the tried-and-true mantra. No, this mouse features an industry-first innovation: it allows analog mouse clicks without any moving parts.
Most mice have mechanical switches. An analog click mechanism, however, allows for adjustable actuation points, allowing for greater customization of a mouse click. However, without a physical click mechanism, there is no indication to the player that a click has been made.
What Logitech did with the X2 Superstrike was include an inductive haptic trigger system. This means the mouse has an analog click but uses haptic feedback to convey the sensation of a click, even though there are no moving parts.
The result is rather neat. The Superstrike gives you 10 actuation levels and five quick trigger reset levels, allowing you to customize your clicks the way you want. In short, you can fine-tune your click actuation to suit your exact gaming preferences: you can configure the mouse to respond to the lightest touches or the heaviest presses. It’s up to you.

There’s also a quick release mechanism that allows the buttons to reset as soon as you release pressure on them, potentially increasing speed. It remains to be seen how much of an improvement in speed, but Logitech claims that the Superstrike’s technology can reduce click latency by 30 milliseconds, which, if you’re a competitive gamer, can make a world of difference.
The rest of the mouse also looks super elite. It features a sensor with a maximum resolution of 44,000 DPI, 88 G acceleration, and a maximum tracking speed of 888 inches per second (IPS). It also has an 8kHz polling rate for the fastest reporting.
The design is similar to the Logitech G Pro
The X2 Superstrike is coming in the first quarter of 2026. All I have to do is hang around and wait for it to arrive.
