Invoke the 25th Amendment — ‘Something’s Wrong’ with Trump
Friday on MSNBC’s “The Weeknight”, representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) said it was time for the cabinet to invoke the 25th amendment to withdraw President Donald Trump.
Waters said: “It’s blatant. This is something that the president decided to damn the constitution of the United States, where an independent agency is attacked. He wants to control the Fed. He wants to be able to determine interest rates. He wants to have the inhabitants of the board of directors who will do exactly as it is said.
She continued: “This essentially means the upheaval of the whole economy.”
Waters added: “As far as I’m concerned, we have to move very aggressively. It is not, you know, persistent and trying to think that perhaps the courts will help us. I want, even if I know that it may not happen, the cabinet he has named, a pile of his sycophants who would probably not do what I would recommend. I would say that we move very aggressively to talk about the danger for this country and for our democracy and not play with it, because it is absolutely one of the most destructive things that this president could do. »»
