iPhone 17 Pro case leaks paint a peculiar picture of Apple’s design plans

In about a week, Apple will unveil its new iPhone 17 range with some major modifications to the PRO line. Although the sizes will remain the same, the phones should be slightly thicker with a brand new camera bar which extends over the upper third of the phone.
This means that if you improve, you will need a new case that corresponds to the new design. We have taken a look at some of them in the past two weeks, and now a pair of leaks by Majin Bu and Sonny Dickson show the new clear case that Apple has done since Magsafe was presented with the iPhone 12.
However, this time, it’s not that clear. Instead of a white circle surrounding the Apple logo, Apple apparently chose to cover the whole glass with the housing with a white rectangle that completely obscures the colored glass with an centered apple logo.
On the basis of iPhone 17 pro images, the phone will have a very different look this year, with a piece of rectangular glass floating below the camera bar. Some images position the Apple logo in a place similar to that of the iPhone 16 Pro, while others move the lower logo to be centered in the glass frame. This is a small detail, but that could be the reason why Apple would opt for a white area rather than a circle. If the Apple logo is in the wrong place, it could upset the balance of the case.
The current model has a Magsafe circle that surrounds the Apple logo, but the larger camera bump on the iPhone 17 Pro and placement of the lower logo could affect this design. As we can see inside the housing disclosed above, the Magsafe circle is always centered on the back of the phone, which means that it is near the upper edge of the glass section. This is probably why Apple has chosen to hide it.
However, it is a different look and which is certain that is polarizing. Although the natural color of the phone is always visible in the camera bar and along the edges of the white area, it removes a large part of the appeal of a clear case. It is also strange that it is white rather than colorful to match the phone, although BU says that Apple works on “transparent tinted variants” which could arrive as “seasonal editions limited in the future”.
In any case, we will very soon know what Apple reserve both for the iPhone 17 pro and its cases. Awe Droping Apple iPhone 17 Pro “AWE Droping” starts at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9.
