Iran Regime Miscalculates Again – Now Another Country Is Furious With Them – RedState

The Iranians are playing games again in the Strait of Hormuz.
As we reported, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) opened fire on at least two ships as they attempted to transit the strait. You can hear the frantic response from one of the ships, the Sanmar Herald, saying that they had received clearance, but still came under fire.

“Sepah Navy! The tanker Sanmar Herald! Sanmar Herald! Sepah Navy! You gave me clearance to leave! Sepah Navy! Sepah Navy! This is the tanker Sanmar Herald! You gave me clearance to leave! My name is second on your list! You gave me clearance to leave! You fire now! Let me turn around!”
The Sepah Navy is the IRGC navy, which is different from the regular navy, the Artesh. Both have been decimated by the United States, with most of their larger ships destroyed, but they still have a few smaller boats.

They probably thought it would be a demonstration of their “control.”
But the problem was that it showed that they didn’t know what they were doing, even from their own perspective: clear the ship, then shoot at it. So why would anyone trust such people to have any control when they do things like this? This showed how unworkable the Iranian position was. It showed that you couldn’t give them any control.
Then India was also furious and called the Iranian ambassador to India on the carpet.

“The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi has been summoned this evening by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a meeting with the Foreign Minister,” the Indian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“During the meeting, the Foreign Minister expressed India’s deep concern over the shootout earlier today involving two Indian-flagged vessels in the Strait of Hormuz,” the statement continued.
“He underlined the importance that India attaches to the safety of merchant shipping and seafarers and recalled that Iran had earlier facilitated the safe passage of several vessels bound for India,” the ministry said. “Reiterating his concern over this serious incident of firing on merchant ships, the Foreign Minister urged the Ambassador to convey India’s views to the Iranian authorities and to resume the process of facilitating the passage of India-bound ships through the strait at the earliest.”
So, just like when Iran shot at its Gulf neighbors, it has just targeted another country. This reinforces the need for everyone to stand up and not allow themselves to get away with it. This proves the point made by the United States regarding its opposition to Iran’s actions.
As we have reported, the United States continues to block ships connected to Iran and also plans to go after its ships elsewhere in the world, as well as the IRGC and regime money it has scattered in Gulf banks.
