Nintendo of America is suing the U.S. government over tariffs imposed by President Trump and demanding a “prompt refund, with interest” of all taxes paid, according to a complaint filed with the U.S. Court of International Trade, as previously reported Consequences.

The Supreme Court ruled last month that Trump’s use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose “reciprocal” tariffs was illegal, without specifying how the refunds might work.

FedEx also filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of International Trade, seeking a “full refund” of the customs duties paid. The company said that if refunds were granted, it would reimburse customers for Trump’s tariffs to “shippers and consumers who initially incurred these costs.”
