Iranian Ships Try to Run US Blockade in Gulf of Oman, Find Out That Is a Bad Idea – RedState

Iran still does not seem to get the message.
They know that the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is paralyzing them. But they keep trying to get ships through. Maybe at this point they are desperate.
But the United States showed again on Friday that it was a bad idea.
US forces fired on two Iranian-flagged empty tankers – the M/T Sea Star III and the M/T Sevda – that were attempting to break the blockade and enter an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman.
A US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet from USS George HW Bush (CVN 77) disabled both tankers after firing precision munitions into their funnels, preventing non-compliant ships from entering Iran.

That wasn’t all. The United States also destroyed a third ship on May 6.
US forces also disabled the Iranian-flagged M/T Hasna on May 6 as it attempted to sail to an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman. An F/A-18 Super Hornet from the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) disabled the tanker’s rudder while empty by firing several rounds from a 20mm cannon.
“The three ships are no longer transiting to Iran,” CENTCOM noted.
How important is this blockade imposed on Iran? This is an example.
CENTCOM revealed in a separate message to X on Friday that “[t]There are currently more than 70 tankers that U.S. forces are preventing from entering or leaving Iranian ports.
“These commercial vessels have the capacity to transport more than 166 million barrels of Iranian oil, with an estimated value of more than $13 billion. »
When the United States takes $13 billion out of the regime’s pocket, it may feel it, especially when its economy is already struggling. This is why people were protesting against them in the first place. Not to mention the regime’s overseas accounts being tracked and frozen by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and the people in his department who are doing their part with “Operation Economic Fury.”

At least the Iranian regime learned after Thursday that shooting at American ships was a bad idea. Our military taught them a serious lesson by striking various shore locations involved in launching attacks on American ships. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also laid out a simple red line: If you shoot us, you won’t get a strong letter, you’ll get blown up.

Iran therefore does not seem to have many options that would not lead to its being crushed. And time is running out to make a deal. They were given enough time for this. So the regime can finally present a real offer, or its economy can continue to collapse.
Editor’s note: For decades, past presidents have done nothing but talk. Now, Donald Trump eliminates the Iranian threat once and for all.
