Irish survey reveals knowledge gaps about Listeria

A survey in Northern Ireland found gaps in knowledge regarding parts of EU Listeria regulations, but good compliance with control measures.

Ready-to-eat (RTE) food product manufacturers were surveyed on their level of awareness of EU Regulation 2073/2005, which requires companies to take measures in their production environments and sample these areas and associated food products to ensure they are free of Listeria monocytogenes. The survey consisted of 26 questions.
