Israel’s military chief says expansion of Gaza offensive imminent

Israel is closer to the intensification of his war against Hamas in the city of Gaza, said military leader Eyal Zamir during a visit to troops from the Gaza Strip.

The plan of an extended offensive, which was approved of the Israel security firm at the beginning of the month, provides for the capture of the Gaza City camps and central refugee in order to dismantle the remaining Bastions of Hamas in the Palestinian territory broken by war.

The objective is to take control of the entire Gaza Strip and may require to move around 1 million Palestinians currently in the city of Gaza in other parts of the territory.

“Soon, we will move on to the next phase of the Gideon trolley operation, in which we will continue to improve the strikes against Hamas in Gaza City until its decisive defeat,” said the Chief of the Israeli Defense Forces (FDI), using the name of Israel for an offensive on the solved in early May.
