Jaguars’ Travis Hunter Speaks Out After Quiet NFL Debut

Of all the promising recruits of the NFL this season, undoubtedly the most intriguing on this side of SheDer Sanders is the former teammate of the University of Colorado de Sanders, Travis Hunter.
At the university, Hunter played both the broad receiver and the cornerback, and some wondered if he would continue to play on both sides of the ball in the pros. In its beginnings in the NFL on Sunday, the recruit of Jacksonville Jaguars played a considerable number of offensive shots, as well as a handful of shots in defense.
He was rather silent, however, because he made six catches, but recorded only 33 yards to accompany a tackle in a 26-10 victory against the Panthers of Caroline. He said that he could perform better than him.
“I did my job,” said Hunter, the overall choice n ° 2 of the NFL 2025 draft. “It was the main objective. I did what they asked me to do. I know I can do more and I know I can do better.”

Last year, Hunter captured 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 affected while recording 11 defended passes and four interceptions for buffaloes. He has a full speed and his 6 -foot frame 1 makes him a decent target in attack.

Hunter had two 10 yards captures in the first half, but he did not have receptions for more than 10 meters. However, Jacksonville’s quarter-arre, Trevor Lawrence, loves what he saw from the recruit.
“He was great. Had big catches, of course,” said Lawrence. “It’s a weapon for us, and he will continue to get better and better. It is a match in space, great with the ball in his hands. Could have more. I had the impression that I could have given him some additional opportunities with some of those I missed.”

Jacksonville has an intriguing list with Hunter, Brian Thomas Jr. and the newcomer Tim Patrick like his main threats to Wideout, as well as Travis Etienne as the start of the ball carrier and the Bigsby tank as a safeguard.
There are questions about the question of whether Lawrence, 25, can become a real quarter of a franchise and live up to the extension of contract of $ 275 million over five years which he signed last year. But there is no doubt that having Hunter on his side will help.
Lawrence went 19 out of 31 for 178 yards, a touchdown and an interception on Sunday. Last season, he launched for 2,045 yards, 11 affected and seven interceptions after traveling more than 4,000 yards with a 65% completion rate in the previous two seasons.
