JD Vance Cooks Roy Cooper Over Iryna Zarutska’s Murder During North Carolina Visit – RedState

As Redstate reported, the North Carolina General Assembly controlled by the Republican has adopted legislation this week which aims to resolve some of the questions which, according to many, authorized the resident of Charlotte, 23, and the homeless and the repetitive 34-year-old delinquents and the recidivist offender by Decarlos Brown Jr.
Wednesday, Vice-President JD Vance visited Northern Carolina to express her support for the law and the application of Iryna’s laws, to amplify public security problems and to call mild crime policies that have enabled violent criminals to detach themselves and victimize more people.

During a speech that Vance delivered to the Regional Airport of Concord-Padgett in Concord, in North Carolina, he noted that if the Democratic Mayor of Charlotte, VI Lyles, or Governor Josh Stein (D) wanted the federal government to send help to fight crime, they would be more than happy to do so.
But a focal point of his remarks centered on the insane murder of Zarutska and how the so-called state leaders, including the candidate of the Democratic Senate and former Governor Roy Cooper, had completely failed Zarutska and other victims like her, correctly stressing that Brown had been arrested 14 times: 14 times:
“They (the police) did everything they could to keep this thug in the streets. And it was the political leadership that failed,” Vance on Wednesday was told. “I think that each politician who has not worked hard to keep the criminals violent behind bars deserves a part of the blame, but at the top of this list is the Governor Cooper, because at the time that we were pushing these sweet crime policies, the Governor Cooper was the man in charge.”

During the same event, the candidate of the Republican Senate and former president of the RNC, Michael Whatley, who also hammered Cooper on this issue, reiterated the point that Cooper’s actions are a factor contributing to Brown not being locked:
In 2020, Roy Cooper signed an executive decree to “reinvent the police in North Carolina”.
We do not need to reinvent the police.

But in a particularly powerful moment, the journalist of WSOC-TV asked Vance if he had had the chance to watch the heartbreaking video of the murder of Zarutska, which was published by Cats (Charlotte Area Transit System) earlier this month. Vance said he had seen a game but had to turn away from other parties.
But a game from which he did not seek herself is the one who did not seem to show anyone around Zarutska intervening to help him up to almost two minutes after the attack, and at a point where he was probably too late to do anything to try to save his life.
On this point, an emotional vance referred to his children and the way in which his youngest is a little girl he jokes fled with everything. By raising the voice, Vance implored men to intensify and protect women and girls in such cases (an abbreviated version of Vance’s remarks is below):
“I didn’t see the video from start to finish. I had to cover my eyes for a game because it was so horrible.”
“Maybe I should just watch it. Maybe we should all look at it, to know the kind of people we are fighting.”
“What happened to him was really, really disgusting. And I think it comes from a deep, dark and bad place that exists, fortunately, in a very few people.”
“If you are a man – I don’t care about the color of the skin that you are, rich or poor. But if you are a man and you see the implanted eyes of a girl who takes care of protection, we must protect our girls and women in this country.”

As for Iryna’s law, Stein would amount to examining the bill before deciding to sign it, to oppose its veto or take no measure. If he does the latter within a certain period, he effectively becomes the law. If it vetoed it, the Republicans will probably have the votes to replace it.
