Jerry Jones' Logan Wilson trade comments sound like what Bengals need
The Cincinnati Bengals have traded Logan Wilson to the Dallas Cowboys, a move that signals an overall status around the youth movement, led by defensive coordinator Al Golden.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was also quick to comment on the trade. What’s interesting, though, is that his line of thinking on the trade certainly sounds like what the Bengals need right now.
Jones on the Wilson trade, according to ESPN’s Todd Archer:
“Some guys have the ability to see a certain key and at the same time take a step forward in the hole. He knows how to squeeze through gaps right now… For what we need right now, he can come in immediately and help us as a linebacker.”

Wilson was benched this year due to a combination of poor play and the Bengals’ desire to go all-in with Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight.
But these Bengals rookies struggled mightily in many areas, including what Jones mentions above. Despite this, Golden and the coaching staff did not return to Wilson, relegating him largely to special teams.
At the very least, the trade puts an exclamation point on the Bengals coaching staff demanding that the future be now, possibly tying jobs to it in the process.
