Kylie Jenner’s ‘Disco Polka-Dot Nails’ Are Summer’s Coolest Manicure
Kylie Jenner has long been a source of beauty inspo for many, whether it is her pink hair (King Kylie era, anyone?), Surprising manicures or plastic surgery. She manages to create trends before as they are even on the radar of anyone and to rely on popular trends while making them. Example: marry fashion and beauty together, its last manicure presents one of the most popular models of fashion for this summer – Polka Dots – and makes it pass at the upper level with a shiny and mirror finish. They give a disco balloon, so we officially consider them disco-polka nails.

Jenner went to Instagram to share a snapshot of her latest summer nail look on her IG stories. It is a classic white French manicure on long almond -shaped nails with silver chrome peas placed uniformly on each nail.
The famous manicure Michelle Humphrey is responsible for the design of the disco ball. It is certainly not the first (or last) man-man-box that she created for a star like Jenner: Humphrey also gave Dua Lipa a similar manicure earlier this summer with French and white Frenchies with peas. It can also be credited for having created Dua Lipa Diamante Floral Nails earlier this summer and worked with everyone from Tate Mcrae and Charli XCX in Julianne Moore and Cate Banchett. Talk about a list of customers!
Polka nails have a serious moment this summer. Beyond the most recent Jenner and Dua Lipa, we spotted (ha!) The retro motif on the nails of Hailey Bieber twice (in yellow and light glass) and on Sabrina Carpenter for the clip of her latest single “Manchild” – so the famous are definitely on board.
Although Polka points have of course existed for much longer than this summer, why has the 1960s model a resurgence right now? “I think the Polka points have become popular because it gives a feeling of mod to your classic manicure,” explains Evelyn Lim, chief educator of the Paintbox studio in Minilixe in New York. “Dua, Hailey and Sabrina often inspire trends in retro beauty. Polka points adapt perfectly to their aesthetics. ” These nails are fun, sophisticated and above all recreated at home. Everything you need is a nail scoring point tool to place points everywhere on your nails, although Lim suggests that a Bobby pin or a ball pen will do the trick if you are in a pinch.
These trendy polka points are not the only creative man that we have seen in Jenner lately. This summer, it is impressive of printed nails printed in snake skin and a studded French man (both gracked the artist of celebrity nails Zola Ganzorigt). It is sure to say that Kylie Jenner is part of maximalist nail designs all summer.
