Larian Studios is returning to the Divinity series with… Divinity

Larian Studios did not rest on its laurels for long. Two years after winning the Game of the Year award for Baldur III’s Gate during The Game Awards, the developer once again appeared during the 2025 edition of the ceremony to announce its next project, which is the next entry in the Divinity series. Simply called Divinityit will be the studio’s biggest game yet, with “more breadth and depth than ever before”, according to TGA host Geoff Keighley.
After 2017 Divinity: Original Sin IILarian took a break from the series with which he established himself to do BG3. Rumor was swirling around a new Divinity game after Keighley shared a photo of a statue erected in the Mojave Desert. The shape of the statue corresponded to a Divinity logo which was recently registered.
Before the trailer was shown at The Game Awards, a short (and rather neat) live performance took place during which some of the actors were hoisted into the air. The trailer itself is pretty awful. He refers The Wicker Manwhile large wooden effigies with people chained inside are set on fire. I’m not going to spoil what happens other than to say that it’s pretty awful, so maybe don’t watch it yet if you’re just having dinner.
Larian has not announced a release window for Divinity Again.
