Leftist Sabotage Sparks Prolonged Power Crisis Amid Brutal Cold Snap – RedState
We’ve seen a lot of left-wing violence in America lately, but we’re hardly immune. Across the Atlantic in Berlin, Germany, they discover just how destructive crazy anarchists can be when they put their minds to it. Namely, a far-left pro-environmental organization called the Vulkan Group claimed responsibility for an attack on the power grid that left thousands of residents without power for days — even as freezing temperatures engulfed the region.
According to the Berlin Zeitung newspaper, the group published a 4,163-word letter saying it had acted to protest the energy industry, adding that it was targeting wealthy neighborhoods to “cut off money from the ruling class.”
Looks like their leftists are just as crazy as ours.
The ongoing incident has Berliners wondering how this could have happened – and who might be watching:
In its third full day, a widespread power outage in Berlin resulting from an arson began to strain the nerves of tens of thousands of people who were left without heat, electricity, cell phone service and food or hot drink.
It also made them question their infrastructure and security. The power cuts began on Saturday when firefighters were called to detect a fire on a switchboard crossing a canal to connect one of Berlin’s largest power plants to residents.
“A country like Russia will carefully monitor the situation to see where the critical points are,” said Jürgen Eicher, a 56-year-old resident. “I wish it wasn’t so obvious.”

Responsibility for the attack was claimed by a radical German Antifa group calling itself “Vulkan”.
Note: Antifa is a nebulous group, and the Vulkan group (Vulkan Group) isn’t it officially associated with them, but German authorities describe them as “belonging to the violence-oriented anarchist spectrum of the left-wing extremist scene”. You get the idea.

The outages have caused widespread misery, with tens of thousands of businesses without power, schools closed, hospitals and nursing homes affected and trains unusable, all while temperatures remain below freezing. Authorities have been forced to open warming shelters where people can defrost and charge their phones, although communications have also been affected.
Power is slowly being restored, but German officials don’t expect things to be completely resolved until Thursday.

According to reports, saboteurs set fire to a cable bridge containing five main power lines and planted explosives underneath. This raises questions about Germany’s security, especially when it comes to its old enemy, Russia.
The power outage fueled debate over the robustness of Germany’s critical infrastructure. As the fourth anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine approaches, German authorities have warned the population that the country has become the target of sabotage attacks.
The authorities asked the federal prosecutor on Monday to take over the case, a sign of the seriousness with which they take this sabotage.

The radical left would like to see human progress set back a century or more as they attempt to impose their extremist views on the environment, equity, gender ideology, and energy on everyone. They constantly tell us and the world around us that they are the enemies of civilized people. We should listen.
