Watch dramatic rescue of skier buried in deep snow

A GoPro camera captures the moment two skiers saved another skier buried in snow in Lake Tahoe, California.

Carson Schmidt and his friend spotted the man in distress after noticing a pair of skis sticking out of the snow. The two men sprang into action, digging him out before he suffocated.

“I hope my message brings awareness to the ski community about skiing with a friend,” Schmidt said. “You never know where you’re going to be.”
