Legacy of the Dark Knight swoops onto PC and consoles on May 29

It didn’t take too long for a game that a whole bunch of people are eager to jump into. Grand Theft Auto VIIt’s the old release week. Or maybe Rockstar had an idea of what was coming and delayed its blockbuster by six months to get out of the way. Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
Regardless, TT Games and Warner Bros. Games debuted a new trailer at The Game Awards and revealed that Caped Crusader’s next adventure is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and Epic Games Store on May 29. The base game will cost $70 and pre-orders will be open starting at 11 p.m. ET on December 11.
Lego games often have a large cast of characters and, as the trailer revealed, this one will be no different. It will feature Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl and Catwoman, as well as a row of murderous super-villains, such as The Joker, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin and Bane.
Warner Bros. Games announces the release date at a somewhat delicate time. Netflix recently had an $82.7 billion offer accepted for part of Warner Bros. Discovery which includes the games division. However, Netflix co-CEO Gregory Peters said the company did not consider Warner Bros.’ Games in its evaluation.
“While they certainly did a great job in the gaming space, we actually didn’t assign any value to them from the get-go because they’re relatively minor in the grand scheme of things,” Peters said, according to at PC gamer. “Now we’re very excited because some of these properties that they’ve built, Hogwarts [Legacy] is a great example of this, were done quite well and we think we can incorporate that into what we offer. They have great studios and great people working there. So we think there’s definitely an opportunity there. But just to be clear, we haven’t built this into our transaction model. »
