The Trump administration makes historical changes to federal food aid as part of its plan to “make America again healthy”. But some nutrition experts warn the recent reductions in financing and stricter rules to qualify for the additional nutrition aid program could do the opposite: worsen food insecurity and push families to cheaper and less nutritious options.
