For April Fool’s Day, the developer of Look out released an update that added a new option to your interactions with NPCs: kissing. Instead of just fighting or talking to the surviving enemies and neighbors in this cursed building, you could give them a kiss. Their dialogues and sprites have also been updated accordingly. Spot faltering supernatural horrors with bright red, blushing cheeks. April Fool’s Day is (thankfully) over now, but there is good news for anyone who enjoyed the lovefest or didn’t get a chance to try it. Developer Francis Coulombe has created a way for players to access “smooch mode” in the future.

“If you started a game on April 1st and hugged the injured neighbor, this save file is now in permanent smooch mode!” Coulombe posted on social media. “You can also enable smooch mode on a new save file by naming Sam ‘Casanova’.” I immediately started a new save to confirm and, yes, it does indeed allow you to go on a kissing spree. While you can’t kiss every person/abomination you come across, you can certainly kiss a lot of them.

Do you want to kiss the Rat King? Go wild. Rock ? Yeah. That weird bug in the basement that eats bandages? Unfortunately yes, he is kissable too. It’s truly the game that keeps on giving. Apparently we’ll also be getting a real, not silly update in the near future, so Look out fans eat well. Now, please excuse me while I return to my Kiss Everyone (except Lyle) run.
