Trump Is Tired of D.C.’s ‘BACK2GOOD’ Attitude and Standards – RedState
President Trump is a man who has always been cared for details. He is a master showman; Even his most ardent hatefuls should admit it. If it is not done with excellence, in his mind, it should not be done at all. On the contrary, this is not how the Columbia district was managed under the mayor Muriel Bowser. In fact, the standard for DC under Bowser is so weak that the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority financed and pushed a public relations campaign called “backgood” to promote their efforts to improve the metro.
Let me explain that more. The metro in DC hurt so much in all the categories that the city pushed to return to the average service – not excellent service, it was not the objective, an average service. What type of leader establishes this standard? Imagine a sales team for a Fortune 500 company working every day to be average. It’s just not real life. Unless you are an elected official in the district. The city has funded and promoted the campaign with announcements in metro and bus services, even by funding an advertisement highlighting the effort.

Compare this to their efforts surrounding the crime, and things are really starting to make sense. I have lived in DC for over eight years – I have stories of crime. I do not know anyone (I am not hyperbolic), I mean anyone, who lives in the city for a long period which has no history of personal crime. Personal flight. Stolen cars. Destroyed cars. Stolen tires. Flying balls. The stories run the whole range.
The way this same leadership repels President Trump for his efforts to make DC a safer place where living goes beyond me. The presence of the National Guard clearly sends the right message. In just one week, reports travel by discussing how residents are already feeling more safe. Journalist Katie Pavlich posted on X after entering Union Station since Trump’s takeover:

For those who come to America to see our Great Capitol City, security is an absolute priority. For too long, prisoners have led the asylum – I think that literally and figuratively. For the part of President Trump, it seems that the change came quickly. My colleague from Redstate, Nick Arama, has the full breakdown. DC police union figures are narcotic:

Look at these figures. The flight fell by almost 50%, with carjackings down 83%. Trump does DC what he did with our southern border. It looks like once again, everything we needed was a new president. I hope that very soon, residents will no longer have DC Crime history. The truth is simple: we cannot trust the same people who would promote a “back2good” public relations campaign to end the crime in the city. It will not happen.
