House Democrats share screenshot of apparent Trump birthday note to Epstein | Jeffrey Epstein
The Democrats of the Chamber shared a screenshot on Monday showing what seems to be a letter signed by Donald Trump, the same letter as Trump had denied having written after information reporting on his existence was published in the Wall Street Journal.
The letter was included in a set of birthday notes sent to the sex offender sentenced Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th anniversary in 2003.
The note describes a conversation between Trump and Epstein inside the sketch of a woman’s chest. Trump’s signature appears just below the hips of the drawing in the pubic region.
“Here it is: we obtained Trump’s birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein who, according to the president, does not exist,” wrote the Democratic minority of the Social Networks Supervisory Committee during the publication of the image.
The screenshot reflects the description published by the Wall Street Journal in July, which for the first time revealed the existence of the letter “Bawdy”.
According to the newspaper report, the book and the letter bore the name of Trump, with a typed text framed by the outline of a naked woman. It ended with the words: “Happy birthday – and every day is another wonderful secret.”
Under the size, an Ondule “Donald” appeared as the signature, stylized to look like pubic hair.
Lawyers representing the co-executors of the Epstein domain gave a copy of the so-called birthday book on Monday after having received an assignment from the president of the James Comer Supervisory Committee of Kentucky, a Republican.
The request follows a letter of July 25 of the Democrats Sylvia Garcia and Ro Khanna, who urged the legal team in the field to produce the equipment “to help bring transparency and responsibility”.
The volume, a professional collection presented in Epstein in 2003, three years before its first arrest, presented notes of many figures of its social circle at the time, according to the newspaper.
The contributors would have included Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and the billionaire Leon Black. While some entries offered routine goods, others contained sexual innuendos, provocative sketches or photographs.
Trump vehemently denied having written or illustrated the note, rejecting it as “a false thing” and insisting that “these are not my words, not the way I speak”.
He subsequently brought a defamation complaint against journalists from the journal, the publisher Dow Jones and the parent company News Corp. In response, a spokesperson for Dow Jones said: “We have fully confidence in the rigor and accuracy of our reports.” The trial required $ 10 billion in damage and specifically appointed the Rupert Murdoch media magnate.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration spent months to move its position on the fact that Epstein files are published or even if they existed at all, Trump by calling them “democrat hoax”.
The Chamber’s Supervisory Committee, with the participation of Democrats and Republicans, continues to review the files related to Epstein. Epstein, a rich financier with numerous powerful connections, died by suicide in prison in 2019 pending a trial for federal sex trafficking.
