Man faces attempted murder charges after bloody attack with samurai sword in Venice Beach

A man is in jail facing attempted murder charges after being accused of carrying out a bloody attack with a samurai sword in Venice Beach.
Los Angeles police said one person was injured in the attack, which occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
According to the LAPD, officers went to the 700 block of Rose Avenue in Venice after receiving a report of a man brandishing a samurai sword. The attack left blood all over a retaining wall in front of a business.

The victim’s condition remains unknown. Police say the victim was injured in the arm.
The suspect was arrested Saturday for attempted murder, according to the LAPD.
It is still unclear what led to the attack.
