Micah Parsons issues statement to Cowboys fans after trade to Packers
We finally had a resolution At the Saga of Micah Parsons, although it is the one that fans of Dallas Cowboys did not expect. The cowboys ship one of the best rushers of NFL passes to Green Bay packers in exchange for two first round choices and the defensive platform Kenny Clark.
With this trade announced Thursday, a new agreement for Parsons, and it has already concluded a contract of $ 188 million over four years which includes 120 million dollars guaranteed. Parsons is now the highest paid non-quarter in the history of the NFL.
Parsons asked for a job from Dallas in the training camp, and he did not bluff. After the trade has been reported, Parsons published a declaration on social networks thanking Cowboys fans for the support they have given to him. He even called it a “sad day”, although “not bitter”. What is interesting is that Parsons clearly wrote this declaration before knowing where he would play in 2025.

Having grown up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, I was one of the few children in my neighborhood to have applauded the Dallas cowboys. Almost everyone supported the Eagles, but I have always believed in the star. To wear blue and white to Penn State, then transport these same colors in the NFL than a cowboy, it was more than a dream, it was fate.
From the moment I arrived in Dallas, you kissed me and my family like yours. You have made a child of the East Coast feels in Texas in Texas. Whenever I stopped at work, every time I went up on this ground, I felt the weight and the pride of representing you. You didn’t just give me a jersey, you gave me a place to belong.
I never wanted this chapter to end, but everything was not under my control. My heart has always been here, and it is always. Through all this, I have never made requests. I never asked for anything more than equity. I only asked the person I trust to negotiate my contract to be part of the process.

Only an hour before this trade was reported, ESPN said that the cowboys seemed ready to listen to commercial offers for Parsons, but that no business was imminent. Apparently things got together quickly.
In Parsons, packers now have one of the best players in the whole league. He recorded 52.5 bags in 63 career games played, is a double All-Pro team and was elected Pro Bowl each season of his four-year NFL career. Parsons is also one of the two players in the history of the NFL to record at least 12 bags in each of its first four seasons, the other being the line player of the renown of professional football and the former Packer of Green Bay, Reggie White.
And, in this case, Parsons’ Packers will visit the cowboys on September 28, during the Sunday evening match of the week 4 of the NFL.
